Have you tried adjusting the screws securing the hsf while the machines running, to try to reduce temp differences?
Are you going to lap it? I'm hoping I won't need to.

Q6600 (G0)@3.51ghz @ 1.45V (L)
TR Ultra 120A (L) S.S F121
GIGABYTE Ds4 P965
XFX 7900GT Air cooled
Thermaltake Xaser V
FSP 600W 1+ only system
Mine arrived yesterday afternoon.
Gotta mod my case first then it will be installed & Overclocked, will post my results later.
Did anyone else manage to pre-order the G0 at £168.00 when it was first on the site (August 6th) as I know I did.
Booted mine straight up at 3.2GHz (8x400) at 1.35vcore in the bios. Load temps are 40-45C when room temp is 20C. Pretty impressive
When room temp rose to 33C (this morning), load temps were 58-62C which is probably more indicative of being assembled in a case.
Cooling: TR Ultra-120 extreme/scythe 1600rpm fan, all open on the bench.

Those are excellent whilst running F@H D-BEAR
Should have one of mine up and running tomorrow - hope I get something similar whilst running WCG
Well, its up and running, and like you originally I have uneven temps across the cores - at stock running WCG 100% on all cores I am getting 38-39 over 3 cores, and 46 on the other - looks like I may have to lap the TR Ultra-120 first and see if I can get that one core a bit closer to the others.
Having said that, the overclocking potential is looking excellent
I think I will be ordering one very soon
I have different temp too, but the temp are briliant.
Idle 26-28 load 40-44 stock speed, and voltage.
Cooler Zalman 9700
Very nice, I like it
Has anyone bought a Q6600 G0 stepping within the last week or so? if so would it be possible for you to post the actual FPO# & Batch Dates you recieved? they are actually stated on the box.
Dont forget to show your overclocks, use CPUZ & for stability use OCCT or Prime 95 the latest versions for 8 hours +.
OK - heres mine, running WCG 24/7 at 100% over all cores:
Looking at the temps D-BEAR got after lapping, I may do the same.
No pics atm. On one of my other boxes, so take my word or ignore
Q6600/G0 bought from Scan 21/8/7: L720B062; the only date I can see on the box is a pack date of 15/8/7. Vid 1.2875. Had it running at 8*400 for 12 hours P95 stable with Vcore at 1.3 giving 1.264 idle dropping to 1.248/1.232 under load. Currently repeating with Vcore dropped to 1.29375 (1.2875 wasn't stable).
Nice.
Some guy on Hard Forums has hit 4.1GHz stable, under water i believe with some nice temps. I mean 4.1GHz **** that's nice.
