I have to give my E6600 1.52V for stability at 400x8
lol I really can't wait to upgrade my CPU/MOBO although I'll prob get a phenom over a Q6xx0 series (6850 coming soon :O)

Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2Ghz (400Mhzx8) 1.52V (set in bios, 1.47v real) | 4GB GeIL PC6400 4-4-4-12 | Gigabyte DQ6 @ 1600Mhz | HD2900XT 1GB | Enermax Infiniti 720W | Silverstone TJ07-B with custom watercooling | BenQ FP241WZ
3dmark05 - 13140 | 3dmark06 - 6698 | SuperPi 1M - 15s
This is my first overclock & I'm starting to get hooked already. Even thinking about watercooling which I used to think was way OTT given costs, complexity & the chance to mess up.
4GHz is a nice round number indeed
Any idea how high anyone's managed on air?
I've seen 3.8 (may have even been 3.9) on air... with the Q6600 G0 but I imagine that was a lucky draw. At the moment I hvae my CPU on water (it needs it cos it dumps a lot of heat to run its overclock ).

3.9? That would be impressive to see. Looks like I'll have to make do with 3.33, unless I go back to 3.2 for the faster memory & lower temps. 3.6 would have been sweet but I'm not usually that lucky.
Those temps are high for running WCG..if you run prime on that it would more likely be in the mid 60's...try a reseat first...as mine running WCG you can knock 10c of your highest core.
Edit: Please Excuse my noobness to boinc settings...just changed it to 100%...now running around the same....with TRU120A.(WEATHER HOT) room temp 25c
So your temps are not bad afterall
Starting to get a little cooler now sun is going down.

how many fans do you have attached to your TM ultra cooler? did you lap your cpu and cooler?
I have 1 fan...and yes both lapped as my cpu was convex...and so was my TRU120.

What batches are Scan selling atm ?
i5 2500k @ 4.5Ghz , Silverstone Zeus 850w,
MSI P67A-GD65, Custom Water cooling
8GB Samsung Green, Gigabyte Windforce GTX670
ive just done it to my q6600 and thermalright ultra 120 this afternoon...went pretty well
i followed this guide but didn't go for the mirror finish

Ive only had the system back up and running for about 30 mins...but so far running at 3.6 ghz (400X9)
idle temps average
Core 0 ~45
Core 1 ~43
Core 2 ~44
Core 3 ~46
load
Core 0 ~55
Core 1 ~54
Core 2 ~56
Core 3 ~56

What vid & what Vcore? How's Vcore at idle & under load?
What mobo?
Did you test temps after lapping the hs but before lapping the ihs? I'm curious to know how much further saving one can get from lapping the cpu ihs.
What thermal interface material?
How did you establish stability? IOW what apps & for how long?
Edit: what's the max variation between core temps under load? I've got an average of 3 or 4C but as temps fluctuate it can reach 6C (with a lapped TRU120X & unlapped IHS). My temps average 2 or 3C lower than yours, but I'm only at 3.4GHz. Couldn't get 3.6 at a reasonable Vcore or temp.
