Questions About Finance + In/out of Stock

    Hi,
On tuesday I ordered some parts from Scan. Everything was in stock. I completed my order using pay in 9months finance and sent off the security form thing to V12 on wednesday morning. Everything still in stock. I check this afternoon and 2 items are now out of stock -- will I have to wait for them to come back in stock or will I have had some reserved for me when I completed my order on tues?

If I have to wait, could you please give me an ETA on LN18699 and LN18960 please . Thanks!
Also, if it will be a while is it possible to change LN18699 to say, LN19051 and pay the difference with credit card?

The items can only be reserved when the documentation has been received and authorised.

Those items normally have quite a fast turn around - so should be back in stock in a matter of days.

Upgrade is possible, but this board is also out as well - and again, should be due in around the same time.

No problem - if you can drop me a PM in a couple of mins (need to clear some space first!) with your real name, postcode and agreement ref - I'll check on its status for you.

Re: Questions About Finance + In/out of Stock

perhaps these sorts of things could be added to the FAQ (if they aren't already in which case I missed them!)

This thread partially answers a query i sent via your online form today, regarding our own order placed on finance. Perhaps someone can tell me..... is it normal for nothing to show in your account regarding the order? No details whatsoever that i can see in the My account section, i'm beginning to think we've had a communication breakdown as we were promised an email earlier today following a phone conversation (changing to g0 Q6600 :-) )

Cheers for the reply, this may sound daft, but i can't actually see the PM button and there is nothing in my user CP to allow me to send one that I can see :-( When i click the links in the FAQ on private messaging it says I do not have permission to view the page, all very weird..........anti spam measure??

I'm starting to think I'm losing my mind I did already try that and just tried again, no option to do so comes up in the pop up menu or when I view his profile. Its been a while since I have been active on a forum but this seems bizarre!

No it makes perfect sense, you need a set number of posts before you can PM (IIRC it's 5)

Well doesn't seem to be five, doh! I do remember on a forum I was involved with had a problem with dodgy geezers registering to send PM's to members selling their illegal wares so I guess it makes sense! Cheers for the reply anyway :-) atleast I know I haven't lost it completely!

Sorry its something like 15-25 (not sure what...?)

Best bet is to log the details here: http://web6.scan.co.uk/Support/index.asp - and either myself, or one of my colleagues, can look into it further for you.

Cool, have done, submitted online form to customer services this afternoon, just checked and we don't have a single email from scan that i can see, only from V12 finance, hopefully we aren't having communication problems and its just an oversight, will give you guys a call tomorrow anyway, probably the easiest way to sort this, all a bit disconcerting though, I'm used to being able to track what is going on with an order, have felt rather in the dark throughout i'm afraid :-(

Phoned up Scan just now after deciding to change motherboard. They were very friendly and the process was quick and painless; thumbs up! . Now I just hope the Sennheiser PC161's (LN18960) get back in stock soon. (Pssst David do you know anything we don't ? )
