Is this going to be coming back in stock any time soon?
afaik from other posts about this its been marked as end of life (EOL), along with the 7950GX2 at the same price. im pretty sure of this, but lets hear scans word on it.
Sorry all 7900 GTX / 7950 cards are now End Of Life
Possibly a good time to upgrade to the G80 cards ?
Not when a half decent 8800 is £200
If I'm looking for a new Graphics Card that will give me good performance on games like BF 2142 what should I be looking at instead of a 7900GTX / 7950 ?
Budget of around £250.
Thanks

What res do you game at and what are your system specs? Also what card do you currently have?
An x1950 Pro is still more than capable, and cheap at around £70. I have one myself and have put off upgrading yet after seeing my mates 8800GTX performance, yes its good but certainly not £350 good! I cant help thinking that once DX10 games become the norm these latest batch of cards (8800's and ATi 2900's) are going to look really weak.
Intel Core i5 4670k Haswell | Asus Z87-K | 16gb Corsair DDR3 Vengeance | Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB OC | Crucial M500 120gb SSD (OS), Crucial M500 250gb SSD, 2TB & 1TB Sata's | Corsair Carbide 200r | LG 27" LED | Corsair CX750M | Corsair h80i
Scan have the following X1950 pro cards which have quieter aftermarket coolers:

Would like the card to be as 'future-proof' as possible. Not just for current games.
So guessing not the ati.

bfg for lifetime warranty, but head on over to scans website and see which one of the 8800gts's you like.
I think that the 8800GTS cards are way overpriced for the 320mb versions. Pricing has hardly budged for months too. Considering that they are two slot and that the X1950 and 7950 series offer decent DX9 performance too I only hope that considerably cheaper cards with similiar performance come in the next few months.
200 quid is still alot of money for most people to spend to get decent DX10 performance.
When are good 100-140 quid DX10 cards ever going to appear?
Whay do all the good cards need a nuclear power plant levels of power and cooling too??

because they've been designing them to be more powerful and not more efficient as well, they need to copy the cpu's, plus graphics cards have always been expensive. i rememeber the 6800gt's.
The newest cards are not so good in DX10 mode, scoring few fps. When dx10 become more common than there will be more choice of GPU to support it, thats my opinion
At the moment have a 7800GTS (I think, off the top of my head).
