Delayed order!

My mate placed an order that was meant to be delivered today but has not. All the items are in stock. He has just phoned you asking why it has been delayed; you replied it is delayed in the warehouse?
What does this mean and can you get this order sent please (today) as its urgent?

This order was dispatched on the 1st October.

City Link have attempted delivery and carded the delivery address on 2 occasions ( 2nd & 3rd )

I have PM'd the address to the customer of where the parcel was delivered too.

If this can be confirmed so we can look into this for you

What!, he specified that the order be delivered today(ordered on the 1st) (Wednesday). Also he checked his account on your website and the order had not been picked or dispatched. He would have been aware if the package was tried to deliver as city link leave a note.
I am confused.
