    Question about Asus P5K-E

Does this motherboard work in an inverted setup (e.g. Lian Li V1000, Silverstone TJ06) where the motherboard is upside down. Specifically the heatpipe setup (earlier motherboards with heatpipes didnt?)

    Thanks

you might find with heat from the pipes now trapped on the ceiling as it were, you need a good airflow across them or else the board could heat up alarmingly.

    I very much doubt it.

We had issues in the past with Asus boards due to their heatpipes not functioning correctly when used in an inverted position. This is why some of the 3XS range were modified.

ah well. I'll wait until the new AMD chipset comes out, apparently it only has a TDP of 8 watts and is passively cooled
