Enermax Infinity 720W problems

building a new PC, parts listed below arrived from Scan this morning and PSU is refusing to power optical or HD. Now the PSU powers up the system and the gfx card however none of the modular connectors plugged into any of the black modular terminals seem to work, I cannot get power to any optical or HD I attach. I have verified they are OK on another PC.

Any ideas?

Q6600
2GB single dimm, another 2GB will go in once OS is built
1 SATA DVDRW
3x SATA 500GB HD
1x 8800GTX

Have also tested with a x1550 PCIe 1x gfx card to see if it was a load problem. I am not new to building PCs, however I am not above good advice

problem solved, PSU is fine if SATA optical drives are connected via Molex/SATA power converter cable, weird
