EVGA 8800GT Query

Hey,

I have a query on the EVGA 8800GT cards.

They currently have 4 versions out, i've pre-ordered the SuperClocked version. But, i am wondering if you will soon stock the other two versions, particulary the SSC version. If so, how soon would this be? and is there a price difference estimate that could be given?

I figured, might aswell shell out extra if it's out soon and worth it.

its annoying how they can't confirm a date when they will be in stock, im after one but not sure if i will have to buy elsewhere as scan cannot confirm a date when they will be in stock

Given that it's less than 24 hours after launch, not to mention that there's probably no more than 100,000 cards world wide across all brands, I can forgive Scan for being a little unsure on when they're gonna recieve stock

The EVGA delivery was due before the actual release date of these cards, but the delivery did not arrive as planned.

As soon as the purchasing department liases with the supplier to get an updated ETA, this will be updated and the new dates should be displayed on the website accordingly.

But, what of the other 2 versions that Evga has got? Able to give any form of information on them? Or is that a negative?

At the moment they are not on the stock system, or the forth coming stock system so I cannot really say for certain if we are to be getting them in stock.

I'll check with the purchasing department and get back to you accordingly once I have further information.

Also, the GPU Speed for the EVGA SuperClocked is 650Mhz. It's 600Mhz on the Scan page, figured i'd point it out just incase.

no retailer can give you a guranteed stock date, they wait for their suppliers, but can sometimes give you an estimated date (although customers might get miffed if this is missed, so probably easier to say 'awaiting stock' )

I don't think that would be fair on purchasing to be honest.

It's not their fault that there is a bit of a shortage of these cards within the UK and as such I think I'll leave poking them with the big stick on this occasion.
