Wow that's a great price. Kudos scan, now to try and justify swapping my GTS for one

I'd say the 256mb would be fine but i'd wait till the 512mb's start appearing in better numbers to see what happens with the price

    Re: SCAN Exclusive - 256Mb XFX 8800 GT, selling for £ 103.00 + Vat

    £121.03 inc. Very nice indeed
The numbers aren't out, but I suspect that the 256MB will be just as good as the 512MB (give or take very little) up to 1680 x 1050 in many games.
Now if you can get hold of some get the 512MB version for £15x, you'll have my money

    Re: SCAN Exclusive - 256Mb XFX 8800 GT, selling for £ 103.00 + Vat

    Yes, But
I'd agree that 256mb should be fine on 17-19" monitor, but with the likes of Crysis being a massive graphics hog you might have problems with some games (well you'd have to lower the setting a little )

Must admit at first I thought but now we know it's the 256mb version I'm not quite so sure, have to find some reviews to see how well it performs.

Still, it should be far better than a 8600gts 256mb and roughtly the same price

Would 2 of these in SLi outperform a 512mb one at 1900x1200?
