Why no PM address ?
2 posts chief, no PM-age for that man.
How many times do I need to post before I can PM you the shop?!
It is an anagram of 'cider cot rim'

Got it !! hehe ...... Thank you Andy's anagram solver !
Well, as soon as my UK retailer has it in stock I'll be on the phone ... waiting to get through, oh dear.
Hehe cool website.
Guys,
We know your all waiting for the E8xxx series of processors with baited breath but they appear to be under a bit of a constraint at the moment and this can be seen if you took 2 minutes to read various things like This here. Intel have assured us that we are getting stock when it becomes available. We have though, had a SMALL amount of these come into stock, but the amount that came to us was peanuts compared to the total number of processors we had on order from various suppliers.
Who knows what the reason for the delays are because there is no offical words from Intel but they have said as soon as they start to become a bit more freely available we shall be seeing stock. Don't forget that we are one of intels premier partners - Why else do you think we had the skulltrail on launch.
Cool, maybe I'll be one of the lucky few. Do they come with golden tickets for the intel factory tour?
What still makes me laugh is how keen people still are for these chips knowing that there could still be compatibility probs, temp reading issues etc... vendors still haven't got final BIOSs sorted for some boards, and some have even removed support for 45nm parts - yet people are still climbing over their own mothers to get one.
It's even funnier when you think the 45nm quads are round the corner too, I wonder if we're going to go through all this again in a month's time? Supply probs, inflated prices, hardware probs, denial by Intel, lack of support from vendors, wild speculation and countless threads on forumsGranted there were some good clocks from the people who actually got a decent chip, but I think the problems have far outweighed the bonuses of going to 45nm.
I jumped at the chance and got mine on release day, but I wish I never bothered - should never have doubted my trusty e6600![]()

Temperature diodes spring to mind...
I got an E8400 too, and it certainly hasn't been the trouble-free experience I expected it to be. Sometimes I wish I'd just taken the ~8% hit in performance and got a 65nm chip instead, at least I'd know for sure what temps it's running at and be able to set automatic fan controls accordingly.Originally Posted by scruffy

I got mine early on too and have had a completely trouble free experience with mine. I switched from a Q6600 because I don't need quad core. Infact using that cpu made me need a new psu to get any decent clock out of it. These 45nm chips save a huge amount on power especially when compared to an overclocked Q6600 and in this day and age it can only be a good thing.
Also if Scan are a premier partner why have you put the price up to over £150? I have purchased 5 over last week for less than £130 each.![]()
