Another Scan White Cobra question

I have seen a few reviews of this pc and they all had a Asus Striker Extreme motherboard, yet on your website you are now using a XFX motherboard, is this as good as the Asus one and why the change.

Also on your descriptiopn of the white cobra it says you use a Aqua-Computer VRM cooler for ASUS - mainboards (26005), this cooler is suposed to be for asus motherboards only, how are you fiting it onto a XFX motherboard.

Hi Ste192,

Thanks for your enquiry. Very good question Just to let you know as the Asus Striker has been made End Of Life therefore we are updating the 3XS systems website to reflect this. The Striker 680i as used in the original Cobra's is to be replaced with a board that will support Intel QX9650. This will be either the XFX 780i or the Asus Striker II formula 780i.

As we originally watercooled the VRM's, N/B and S/B on the original Cobra this is a real quandary as what to offer. Currently there isn't a solution that will support watercooling the southbridge along with tripple SLI.

Thanks for your Reply, do you know when you will be updating your website, I am going to order a white cobra but think its best waiting till you have updated the website, I would want the QX9650 cpu in it and not the QX6850
