    Anti static wrist straps

Hi, do scan sell these as I cant find any on their site.

I want to use my free delivery up on a Corsair memory cooler, but as they are only £12, that leaves me with £8 more to spend to get the free delivery.

I was going to get a pair of blue Sharkoon golf ball fans first for my side panel, but then I would have 5 spare 12cm fans lying around O.o.

But I dont think a wrist strap would be more then a few quid, but I should still get one to avoid any oopsies when tinkering with the PC box.

Also if I get to 50 posts before using up a free delivery, will I have two free deliveries available for use or only one?

    Re: Anti static wrist straps

Ok, I'll wait a while before buying the ram cooler then. Maybe I'll get it with my 3870 X2 later on.

Do Scan have any information yet on this version of the 3870 X2, or know if you'll be getting it?:

Powercolor cuts the Radeon HD 3870X2 size

I'll likely want to upgrade to it for Age of Conan around spring / summer time, hopefully it will be below £200 by then too

They are a waste of cash. Just touch a radiator before install new hardware.

Yea I know, thats what I do, ever the metal parts of a PC case are fine. I've never damaged anything in years.

But I need to spend £20 for the free delivery, and the memory fan on its own with delivery is £19 any way, so I may as well try and find something to get to make it up to £20.

Get a cable - sata to molex power connector is always useful - or in my case an extra long SATA connector as the distance from the motherboard connection to the top CD slot is a very long way

    Re: Anti static wrist straps

    Or buy some CD's/DVD's.

They are really cheap atm..I bought 50 blank CD's for a little over £3

Also if I get to 50 posts before using up a free delivery, will I have two free deliveries available for use or only one?
As long as you are over 25 posts, and you post regularly and stay active on the forum, you get as many free deliveries as you like.
Its not 25 posts per delivery.

Oh thats ok then, no pressure to buy. I want to wait to sell my old 'junk' before splashing out anymore.

I dont really need an anti static wrist strap, it was just to get up to a £20 order.

You still have to order more than £20 excluding VAT to qualify.
Take a look at the rules.

Its easier than that - Just install the PSU and plug the power cord in and you are grounded every time you touch the case

I've done 3 builds in the last few years withiut one and never damaged anything.

My first build was an Athlon 3000+ and Asus A8N-SLI (hit 2.6 Ghz)
    - The motherboard died from too much FSB overclocking whoooops!

second Athlon X2 4400+ and Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe (also 2.6 Ghz)

    And now my E8400 and MSI neo 2 <3 <3 <3

I just touch the radiator and my PC case's metal parts. But I just want a corsair memory cooler. I actually asked scan to addi t too my order because I thought I would have been waiting a long time, but it was already dispatched O.o

Ordered on sunday 3rd, despatched on the 4th just after 5pm, arrived on the 5th.

On another forum someone that had ordered in Jan and not recieved one yet complained about this and got free delivery added on. If you ordered yours before I did and havnt got it yet, let me know and I'll provide my invoice number for you to complain XD

Google basic electronics and find out that your comment is infact incorrect.

As long as you are earthed it isnt required.

    -Radiator
    -PSU plugged in
    are both earthed.

Tell me exactly how you are earthed with a wrist strap unless its clipped to something that is. ie, through a plug socket connector.
