As above.
Not played with AMD or air cooling for a while so looking for a bit of advice.

the stock one is fine and pretty quiet (not sure what it's like if you want to overclock the CPU though. I bought a seperate Heatsink because Scan didn't list it coming with one which I'm annoyed about.
What space/budget do u have to play with?
I havent used these on phenoms (havent tried that cpu yet), but on X2 AM2 and 939, I have used the Akasa 876 and found it to be excellent for the price. (£9)
If you need more 'cooling overflow' around your socket consider the NorthQ or Zalman flower types (£7+)
I use a scythe ninja on my X2, great cooling and as it's am2, completly painless to fit.
I've heard lots of recommendations about the 'mini ninja' which I assume is the same thing staffsMike is talking about? I'm looking to build an AM2+ system myself soon, you see..

C2D E6300 @ 2.8 | | Abit IP35 Pro | | 4GB Corsair XMS2 800 | | BFG 8800GTS OC2 320MB | | 500GB Western Digital for OS + 1500GB Seagate for Storage | | Antec NeoHE 550 | | Lian Li PC A05B | | Samsung 226BW 22"
The CPU is OEM and I need a cooler for a mobo review I'm doing but as I'm primarily an Intel guy aswell as watercooled, I really need an AMD/Generic air cooler.
What one did Slypie get?
As I understand he doesnt need it any more.
The mini ninja is a low profile version
the mini
the daddy!
the mini is a great cooler for cases like the antec fusion, but if you have the space the stardard ninja is awesome.
The new Tuniq Towers come with an AM2 clip. Ultra-120 as well.
