    Angry Complaint: Xigmatek HDT-S1283

Scan I just want to complain about the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (Scan code: LN20676) I bought a few days ago. One of the screw holes was not threaded and I could not put the screw through. Eventually "jerry-rigged" the whole thing together

The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is a brilliant cooler but the built quality of the cooler is not very good.

Scan, you guys are great ... but Im not happy with Xigmatek

    Scan does a great job

Although xigmatek is known for a lack of quality control. I've heard of fins falling off too lol. But apart from that, they make great heatsinks.
    Scan FTW

LOL, yep the top fin is coming off.... even still its a really good cooler!

Might just solder the top fins on, as I don't want it falling off and shorting the PC.

@ paulm the heatsink works fine and I won't be retuning it.

    Re: Complaint: Xigmatek HDT-S1283

just return the fan or complain too xigmatek for an extremely poor quality product, id say complain too them as everything else is fine and sending back costs more then the heatsink probably xD.
I had their 92mm fan and its totally different too what they say it is(db etc) and it wasnt really a great experience but oh well.

It will be worth using the contact on their site though to see what they say, no harm is asking..

    Re: Complaint: Xigmatek HDT-S1283

Its not cost effective to return the item

I installed it, didn't use the push pins but a set of M3 screws and washers.

I have already contacted them this morning but they did not have UK costomer service so emailed the USA one.
