Hi all,

I am looking at getting a very small PC for my girlfriend to work on. By far the most important thing is that it can drive 2 D-SUB screens at once. I have DVI-VGA dongles so provided this system has 2 display drivers. The second most important thing is that it can run Windows 7. Thirdly is its size.
I have specced up the following:

LN17679 2GB Corsair Value Select, DDR2 SO-DIMM PC2-5300 (667), 200 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5

LN24710 250GB Western Digital WD2500BEVT Scorpio Blue, 2.5", SATA 3Gb/s, 5400rpm, 8MB Cache

LN25219 J&W MINIX 780G-SP128MB, AMD 780G, AM2/AM2+, DDR2 SO-DIMM, SATA RAID , Mini-ITX, HDMI/ DVI/ VGA

LN28226 AMD Athlon II X2 240, Regor Core, Socket AM3, 2.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 65W

LN28902 Jou-Jye NU-0528i Mini ITX Case, Black/Silver, with 180W FlexATX PSU

My questions:
AFAIK, a socket AM3 CPU is fine in an AM2+ motherboard. Obviously that means DDR2 memory must be used. Can someone please confirm this.

Can this motherboard drive 2 D-SUB monitors at once? - I have a DVI to D-SUB adapter.

Will the retail boxed cooler fit in this case or will I need to get another cooler? If so, which one?

Performance isn't an issue. Nor is the lack of an optical drive. Both the Graphics and CPU are more than fine for what she will need it for.
I'll sort Windows 7 once it's released.
