You are correct... the corsair is still a great PSU... it won't give you any problems and has enough capacity for SLi

I purchased the Be Quiet 650W Dark Power Pro which was on Scan Today Only last week.

It also got a better review than the Corsair in Custom PC. Article suggested that it held together better at high load.

    Re: New build PC

All put together and seems to be working ok, although not had much chance for testing yet. Does seem somewhat noisy though from all the fans going.

One thing that seems a little odd is that The PSU stays on even when I have shut down the PC. I have to switch it off manualy. Don't know if this is normal, or if i have missed a connector somewhere?

    Any ideas?

What do you mean, "stays on"? Is the fan spinning? Makes humming noises? It's normal for the PSU to supply power to the motherboard, even when the system is "off".

    Re: New build PC

    Thanks for reply.

Yes ,fan is still going after shut down. Although I asked about this in seperate thread and someone sujested that some PSUs have inteligent cooling that stays on for a while after PC shut down untill a certain temperature has been reached.

I will leave PSU switched on after next time I shut down and check an hour or so later to see if this is whats happeneing.

If this is as normal then, I don't need to worry. Its just my last PC's went quiet when I shut them down. Although they were all shuttles so maybe different.

This is why I wanted to check rather than thinking the world was ending ..hehehe
