I'm getting conflicting info on my Q9450 temps.
Under load (Winrarring a huge file for over 1hr, using all cores) RealTemp says it's approximately 40ÂșC, but CoreTemp says it's a good ten degrees higher:

Which one is correct, and can be trusted?

Quad cores are much harder to overclock than dual cores. I had an E8400 which would do at least 514 fsb. The quad core puts much more stress on the chipset and thus a lot harder to get stable. Have a look around the web you won't find any 45nm quads higher than 475 fsb don't even think the extreme can. The major drawback with the q9450 is the 8x multi and the price.
