Well I've not had any problems with Scan of late, until now that is.
Had a notification yesterday that one item on my order had been delayed - namely some MX-2 thermal compound. Ok fair enough.
Email then suggested a replacement of Arctic Silver 5. Ok fair enough.
I replied to above email confirming I wish to accept the replacement of Arctic Silver 5.
I get a reply back thanking me and letting me know they'd substituted Akasa thermal paste. Err, wtf!?
By the time I got this it was too late to stop the shipment (yesterday evening) but I sent a reply anyway querying what had gone wrong.
Today the order arrives with the incorrect item but, more importantly, not a single reply to my email from last night.
Now the Akasa paste that was substituted cost all of 99p so frankly I don't give a toss. I've already ordered some MX-2 from elsewhere. I'm mainly posting here to highlight this issue so someone sorts the procedures out before it happens again.
I understand that items can be unavailable, even when the website stock system says otherwise. I also appreciated the email informing me of this and suggesting an alternative. What is unnaceptable is that the suggested and accepted replacement is then ignored in favour of something else entirely and an email querying this anomaly goes unanswered for 24 hours.
