    Refurbished Motherboards

Scan's sending me a refurbished mobo for one that went faulty recently. Are refurbished motherboards any good, is it possible to find out what exactly was "repaired?"

I don't want to end up with a refurbished motherboard and then it dies within 2-3 months and have to go through the process again.

What's the general consensus with refurbished mobos?

Normally they are returns that people "didn't want" that are reboxed and soldon. Its a good chance its actually unused.

I hope you are right .. I can understand having my TV repaired, but a motheboard .. that's been refurbished, sounds like an impossible task and even if it is repaired .. I would have thought that the chances of something going wrong with it are over 50%.
