2 Orders 2 Returns Scan Computers My Experience

Ok guys just reporting my experience with scan computers,

I placed 1 finance order (delayed for a few days stock problems) and another for water cooling parts, both orders received on the same day brilliant work Scan couldnt ask for better.

Returned my graphics card I brought February time, was not displaying, fault found awaiting stock.

Returned Alphacool radiator 120mm as it was surplus to requirements, its in the post awaiting receival and refund.

All in all I have been ordering from Scan for several years alas using different accounts over this period of time and have had nothing but brilliant service I have even had my order processed and dispatched same working day several times may I add. Thanks again Scan

For anyone thinking of using Scan do not worry and do not hesitate, to be honest I don't even have to bother saying this because everyone already knows just how professional the company is by just looking at their awards they have won several years in a row.

All in all you may have guessed I am one happy customer and delighted to add I always recommend you as my first choice to all my friends/ family and colleagues at work.

One little thing Scan if you could answer my question, I returned the VGA card to you but it is out of stock I hoped to ask for a different card in exchange you said this is not possible as you only do this if the card you return is no longer sold or in production.

I then thought well maybe I could receive credit and just buy a different model but you said you do not offer credit on a card if it can be replaced, but surely under the consumer protection act you must have to refund against faulty goods if found faulty?

I am not moaning I just needed my PC up and running ASAP as the lappy is killing me hence why I hoped to exchange for a different model either by swap or credit?

I look forwards to your response as I am a little puzzled none the less THANKYOU for your countless, efficient service, seriously you may have guessed I think a lot of your service lol

Very clever thread my friend... Its a shame that these few issues do arise from what otherwise is a good service.

Personally I like to get my RMA's done through here by PM so that I know I have a point of reference on the forums should questions need answering such as yours

I thought the title could catch a few eyes, I just thought a lot of these treads are about something wrong with the Scan service and not many on the qauility of service.

Yeah I just was hoping to get the comp up and running this weekend hence why I was wondering if I could exchange or credit and repurchase, but reading the item description it seems to be the highest standard clocked card so im just going to have to be patient (ill try)

I have to say that Scan is fantastic. I go so often I know a couple of the guys on the front desk quite well. I have had to return goods to them (expected when you buy the amount I do!) but its been a painless process.

How people can use OcUK instead of Scan I will NEVER know.

Ditto, I use Scan for everything EXCEPT little things like UV lights, Neon tubes etc I find eBuyer cheaper for these But all my hardware etc etc always always from Scan because of their service and prices

well sometimes when we need little things that scan don't have we need to
I had to get a mouse mat and some memory from there. But no big orders though

The free shipping makes a huge difference too. Other companies may have slightly lower prices on the page but when you take that into account they are almost always cheapest.
Although, tbh I would still deal with Scan even if they weren't. It's worth paying a little extra for good service and in the years I have been dealing with them it has only ever been good.
I remember the first time I bought anything. It was an ATI 9800pro which I needed as my existing card had blown up. I phoned up, at about 3 in the afternoon mind you, and asked if I could have the order as soon as possible. The sales chap walked the order through the picking and shipping process and the card was on my doorstep at 9am the next morning.
That fellows effort to help has made Scan a reasonable amount of money as I have repeatedly gone back to them for virtually all of my major orders ever since an I always recommend them to others.

We'll see what we can do to improve this... but I hope the modding gear we do currently carry will be easier to look through shortly..

That would be excellent, I do like your current site as it is seems easy for me to navigate, do you guys have any idea around when its to be launched i.e. this year next year etc? (I'm looking forwards to the new site)
