    Problem with card reader. LN15629

    Hi,

I have a problem with the card reader I bought from scan (LN15629).

It used to work fine, then I went to use it at the weekend, plugged it into pc. red light comes on, PC detects. I then insert my memory card as normal (same one that was working before).

Green light comes on, autoplay starts. Then when I open up the folder to look at whats on the card, the computer pauses on an empty file window and the green light on the reader goes out. And now it keeps doing the same thing. Once i got to the next folder but then it did it again.

I think its faulty. there is nothing wrong with the memory card, and nothing has changed on the computer since the last time the reader worked properly.

Try one of the rear ports or a shorter cable, I have had similar issues with front ports and/or longer cables. Sometimes it seems there is a case of marginal power delivery to the appliance causing it to part function. Also check your USB section in device manager to see if any issues are reported there.
