Asus Motherboard 2 Year Warranty Question
I have an Asus motherboard that has died and I set up an RMA with yourselves, but with one thing an another, I forgot to return it.
Anyway, It's now outside the first year, so I'm guessing that I have to send it direct to Asus, or can I still send to you and you send to Asus for me?
I contacted Asus and they gave me the number for creativecomputing.net who are apparently a company who inspect the board and then send it to Asus.
Creativecomputing are asking for £16 just to process the RMA. This is to pay for the initial inspection and postage from them to the Asus EU repair centre.
So, £18.50 by special delivery to them, and then a further £16 for the RMA.
I've been reading the supplied warranty material that came with the motherboard and there's no mention of this charge.
And wouldn't it make more sense for me/scan to send it direct to Asus instead of paying a middleman to do it for me?
Can anyone shed any light please?

When I bought my asus mobo about 15 months ago I was under the impression that it had a 3-year warranty - was i wrong?
Doesn't look to good, does it? £34.50 is damned near a new mobo; that's probably the scheme: make it so expensive that you don't bother.

From what I've read before, and on Scan's website the warranty for Asus' poduct is 3 years return to Scan.
Drop them an e-mail and they should be able to clarify it and also issue an RMA number
