    Scan and Foxconn

    Hello all

Called into Scan yesturday with my son to view what foxconn systems had on display we were both gobsmacked! to see the famous black ops motherboard in action.

There were 3 equally well built systems on display all but 1 housed into the Coolermaster RC-1000 New V2 Cosmos cases with a jaw droping side window to see all the juicy bits inside the 2 two guys from foxconn were really friendly and approachable and this is where it got interesting,

One of the guys asked my son if he would like to enter the competition by doing 2 laps on Race driver Grid, his target was to beat the fastest lap set at 123.20 to which he replied "give me the controller i'll show you how its done" i silently started to back away towards the exit hoping his cockey words wouldn't bring shame upon the family name.

He started his first lap and it wasn't looking good he wrote the car off on a very demanding shicane i started to feel the pressure but my boy wasn't finished he replied with a few impressive power slides and a very good run into his second lap to which one of the guys from foxconn said if he masters that corner we could be looking at a new lap record.

Finish line approached and i felt like Lewis Hamiltons dad the boy done good his laptime was 117.20 i've no doubt that someone else beat this time but the pride i felt is priceless and i would like to thank Scan & Foxconn for a good start to a father and son day out and to cap it all Bolton 3 Stoke 1 happy days indeed BTW would anyone at Scan know if my sons laptime got thrashed? i'm dying to find out..

    Re: Scan and Foxconn

I am sure the time did get beat when I left Scan I think it was down to the 115's but if I am mistaken the Foxconn guys will contact you by phone as they will be contacting the winners this way.

Thank you for your comments I am glad you and you son enjoyed you day out, we will be trying to run these sorts of events as regular as possible so we will try to keep you informed.

    Best Regards

    Re: Scan and Foxconn

Out of interest, what's the prize? and what's the track?

If it's any good I might head on down to bolton, as if it's the one I think it is, a 1:13.800 is possible
