How come your spending £100 more on a factory overclocked one, when you could buy a much cheaper one and do it yourself? :s

Thats why I bought the EVGA GTX 260 at stock speeds and have it OC'd to the FTW edition. no voided warranty, and i saved myself £50

EVGA also stills honours the warranty even if you replace the cooler with an aftermarket one, as long as you send it back with its original.

    EVGA!!!

you should google some of the issues the previous cards bearing the XXX mark had, most were not capable of running the speeds for a long time without crapping out

I have just had one of my old GTX 7800 extream from XFX in SLI fail on me, but at the end of the day its 3 years old its done its time... But at the end of the day, surly buying a card and overclocking it runs the same risk and might not reach the same speed?

I have never had a problem buying a stock version of a card and Ocing it to the fastest version of it.
    I.e stock to FTW speeds.
Just cant see the point paying £50 on a pre-modded bios, when IMO all the cards are the same.

do what I did save yourself some money and buy the stock version. Would recommend the GTX 280 by EVGA, cus you wont void the 10 year warranty Ocing it. And they do a fantastic OC program made by the same people as Rivatuner.

the only reason i brought a pre overclocked 280 was the fact it came with a water block that cost less than buying a stock card and the water block seperate

Guess what I got it this morning only to find out they had sent me the XT by mistake!!! The Scan lable says its an XXX but the actual product lable shows it to be a XT. I have to say that i am a little annoyed since i have been waiting since the 26th July for it.
