Antec @ Scan, But why the high prices?

Its realy realy good to see some antec power supplies at scan as I can back away from ebuyer. But whats with the pricing... they're at least 50% more expensive than what they should be.

Probably some more ludicrous supplier decisions. As soon as they realise that anyone with more than one brain cell can use google to find the far better deals elsewhere and that they are selling none I'm sure the prices will level out.

Shame though, I never do get why certain items are so strangely priced. I'll pay a little bit extra to use my preferred retailer but not a lot more, especially when I've not ever encountered any problems with ebuyer either.

Get a Corsair one then they're good too and are probably recommended by Scan
They've most likely got the best prices on them too because of their "partnership" with Corsair.
If you really want the Antec PSU then get it from eBuyer they won't bite unless you've already been bitten by them which would be sad. They don't have as bad as a reputation like OcUK.

I have been bitten by ebuyer before

But my point was that It would be nice to see the earth watts at lower prices as they make great budget power supplies. The 380w should be around £30.

Re: Antec @ Scan, But why the high prices?

We introduced a wider range of Antec due to demand from our customer's and we are aware our pricing is higher than most other suppliers, the reason for this is simply we do not have enough demand for us to make the decision to buy more to get a lower price.

Over the thousands of products we sell, more often than not we are the cheapest or at least very competitive compared against our closet competitors who hold physical stock.

We are looking at our Buy prices to ensure they are up to date...

    Regards

Re: Antec @ Scan, But why the high prices?

I think demand is not high because price is too high.

I ended up getting my Antec cases from elsewhere because I saved over £20 on one of them and you didn't sell the Antec 1200 when I bought it.

Re: Antec @ Scan, But why the high prices?

Sure we may sell more if the price was lower, but other factors come into play as well, If we are able to reduce our Retail prices we will do as we always try to offer the best pricing possible.

We have 4 different suppliers who we buy Antec from, they are all checking our Buy prices as we speak..
