Re: Sudden Price change in ONE Day

    Guys,

I shall try and explain the increase for you

Basically last time we ordered these headsets from suppliers the £ was doing well against the dollar - it was roughly iirc $1.92 to the £, since then we have had to adjust pricing as the current conversion (today's rate) is only $1.61

If you look at the stock we sell anything that is bought from suppliers in $ we have had to adjust our pricing to reflect our current buy price as others as said our pricing is real time pricing, we dont like increasing prices however this is just another knock on effect with the current economic climate.

As previously stated if our buy price increases which on this occasion it has - not only because of the increased dollar rate - we have to pass on the costs to the customer.

As this is quite a large price crease there must be other factors behind it which I shall look into tomorrow

    Regards

does this apply to items they say are in stock ? , does this mean they can charge the new price for stock they all ready have ?

Usually no, however we do have a policy with some suppliers to have holding stock within our warehouse.

These items are the property of the suppliers until we purchase them - any purchases for any holding stock are done at that current days pricing, so for example if the price increases from suppliers and we only have holding stock available then the price will of course increase immediately.

    Ok, thanks for the reply

I may just purchase the next model up (£58), as i think this one is overpriced, then maybe overtime get a decent soundcard.

    retail realtime...

a client gagging to buy something...the price goes up... retail client wont buy anything else..... gagging for them...

maybe , just maybe, Senn realigned them BECAUSE demand is out stripping supply? Lets face it... if you realy realy want them.....

if I made headphones that lots of people wanted..and I'd priced them too low just to get them rolling... I'd do summit similar tbh.

As would every house seller in England right now if they could.

Is this an error, coz it kinda p*d me off, £12 in a day, it was instock both days, it wasnt a today only offer or anything.

Can someone get in touch with me please regarding this?

Don't get pi**ed off just read the news dude and understand the problems of the £ becoming even weaker against the $. This has a real time effect on our Buy prices for ALL products we import and yes pricing can change in 1 day or even in 1 hour. Also the Consignment stock we hold would also be instantly affecting by the £ becoming even weaker against the $.

This is good news for exporters who are paid in $'s but NOT good for us...

To make this very clear we have not hiked up our Retail prices to increase our margin for demand. The increase's in the Retail price reflects the increase to our buy price, especially for CPU's.

Expect other Retailers to follow suit

Re: Sudden Price change in ONE Day

    I noticed this too,

yesterday on lunch I was spec'ing my new system on scan.co.uk, I could have swore the q6600 was around £130 Inc VAT. Then when I came back from lunch to pay it had gone up to £155.

So I ordered from ebuyer with next day del for £131. I wanted to build the pc today. Then this morning I read an email from scan stating “delayed order!" with no details on what which was causing the delay.

I made sure all the items were in stock when ordering? Don't understand that. Surely we all have real-time stock information nowadays? So that's a tenner wasted for the CPU which will arrive today, when I could/should have selected free delivery.

If they don't get back to me by the end of today with a good explanation I’ll be cancelling and taking my business elsewhere. Very frustrating and I did all I could to do make sure I got the parts today. Less annoyed about having to wait, Just means I’ve got something to look forward to. More annoying that I only get an automated email with no details as to why.

To confirm it was E-buyer were advertising a lower price for the CPU, which you ordered and then you received a delayed e-mail from them?

    Thanks...

The delayed order's definitely DO state the reason for the delay..

    1) Order delay due to a volumes of order's - This is due to a higher than expected volume of order's in our warehouse causing a delay to an order, this is NOT a stock delay e-mail and ALL products should have already been allocated and reserved.

    2) Stock Delay E-mail : This confirms a delay due to a stock issue, the item which is out of stock is listed and a replacement suggested.

If you can PM me your invoice number I will confirm the status of your order.

    Best Regards

    joeh

I have confirmed all parts are in stock and the order was unfortunately delayed due to a volume of order's and confirmed by e-mail. Your order will ship tonight for delivery on Monday.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Best Regards

Re: Sudden Price change in ONE Day

I cant see the issue here.
    Scan = Shop (effectively)
With this in mind, and with the cost of everything increasing, they can charge whatever they think is reasonable (on most products).

When the price of chicken drastically increased, did you go into your supermarket and ask them to justify it? I seriously doubt it!

Fair enough, thanks for the reply.

Makes sense, will probably either get it from elsewhere or get the next one up from scan
