Post TV Tuners - how do I find them on your site?

Hi. I've searched almost all the sub-categories I can think of, but can't find TV Tuners anywhere. However, if I do a "Search" at the top of the Scan homepage, I can find the results I want.

I'm fairly confident TV tuners used to be visible under "graphics cards" - they don't seem to be now.

Could you tell me where to look please?

    Also:
Out of interest, is there any way of "grouping" all "dual tuners"? (I.e. a card with one aerial input, but 2 dvb-t, or 2 dvb-s (etc) receivers.) I would find that useful.

Further to that, are there ANY dual-DVBs tuner cards atm?

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

All the cards are in sub-groups under this section, split into analogue, digital, dual digital and DVB-S accordingly.

    They're listed under Multimedia/TV > TV ananlouge/ TV digital.

Think the category needs renaming a little.

I was after a DVB-S twin tuner but the only one (Pinnacle 7010i) has shot up in price and isn't in stock anymore

Wow lots of replies - was expecting a one word ideas. Hexus forumies shure r 'elpful.

Seriously appreciate all of your replies.

I agree with chuckskull, though: The category is not at all easy to find. (Hence the original question.)

slypie, I appreciate your reply, and you answered my question perfectly; but my question was wrong. There was meant to be an "hd" bit in there. "Any Dual HD Satelite Tuners?" - for when/if our household gets FreeSat/FreeSky - see this thread.

    Thank you all again.

Re: TV Tuners - how do I find them on your site?

Whilst on the subject of categories, one thing I did notice the other day is a problem with how you list HTPC cases. For example, two massively popular HTPC cases are in different categories - the Antec Fusion Media Centre case is in "Cases - MicroATX", and the Antec NSK2480 Media Centre case is in "Cases - Desktop & HTPC". I'm sure there is a lot of crossover between those two categories, and anyone looking for a HTPC case may go straight to the "Desktop & HTPC" section, missing all the ones in "MicroATX". Just thought I'd point it out

    Scan:
    Prices: Excellent
    Delivery Time/options: Excellent
    Customer Service: Truly Excellent
    Website: Not so excellent

I think it's the only thing that lets the company down. I send random emails to them, sometimes, telling them things I don't like with the site. They have the good grace to say "Thanks, we'll look into that". Nothing ever changes, though. (I think I'll stay with them, though.)

    Thank you for the feedback...

You may not know but we are currently creating a fresh new SCAN site - Thats all I can say

In your opinion how could SCAN improve it's web site ... ?

If you can also send me the OLQ number's for the "random E-mail" I will look into why you have not received any responses?

    Best Regards

    Chris,

Can you create a new topic/thread for this "How could SCAN improve it's web site". I am sure a few people would want to give some feedback.

    Thanks

Re: TV Tuners - how do I find them on your site?

    Snahal,

There is no real point creating a thread like this just now because as ChrisP has stated above " You may not know but we are currently creating a fresh new SCAN site - Thats all I can say " and as such any feedback on the current design would not apply to the new site.

    Best Regards,

    Best Regards,
Goes in some way towards confirming my point.

In my post above, I said that I was "heard" (which is good), but you did not neccesarily "listen" (i.e. act) - which is your (i.e. Scan's) choice.

You confirm that line of thinking to some extent in the quoted post - you want to hear our suggestions, yet it's too late to use them.

Snahal might have a point about starting a new thread about your website's good/bad points. Even if you can't use everything right away, (you may have outsourced the coding, etc,) when you NEXT overhaul your site, you could come back to what was said, perhaps.

We (the customers) provide the specification, you provide the service (an improved website) and everyone is satisfied (easier buying process for us, more money for you) - note: 3XS.

Regardless of that, I look forward - with eagerness - to "experiencing" your new website.
