Any idea?
At the moment, we do not have any ETA from the suppliers as to when these processors are going to be arriving.
As soon as the information is updated, the website will be updated automatically.
Best Regards,
OK, thanks for replying - I keep checking.
This processor seems to be out of stock in many etailers, is the processor discontinued or are there just problems getting stock at the moment?
Also, if I were to order the processor now with other products, would my entire order be delayed until stock was found or would the other items be shipped when avaliable?
As far as I know, the rest of your order would be delayed if one item was out of stock. Not sure why the CPU is out of stock, though.
Thanks (cant find the "thanks" button, so saying it will have to do for now!)
In that case how would i be charged for the order? When the entire order was dispatched, when the order is placed or as the items are ready for dispatch (eg. other items, then CPU)?

I think you would be charged when you made the order, depending on the retailer.
Scan would charge for the whole order at point of order. And yes the order would be delayed until the cpu was in stock.
However if you get your post count up you can get free carriage > £20+VAT so you could split the order into the items you want in stock and the cpu which would then wait and ship when stock comes in, plus then you would be higher up the queue to receive it should there be small stock and many wanting it!
Thats not a bad idea actually. My only concern is that without the CPU i could not test the other components i'm ordering (motherboard, memory etc.). Should the CPU remain out of stock for longer than 30 days those items would be out of warranty with Scan and i'd have to deal with individual companies if anything was faulty.
I guess i'll just have too see how it goes, hopefully Scan will receive an ETA soon and then I can place my order without worry!
I think the warranty only starts when you receive the items.
The warranty would be 12 months minimum but it would sit there beyond the 7 day DSR & 28 day refund periods if you do not have any CPU spare or you can borrow to test it with so it would potentially complicate things in a worst case scenario. What are the other parts you are looking to buy?
I dont have access to another AM2 cpu as my main rig is a C2D. I'm ordering pretty much a complete HTPC system, so CPU, motherboard, memory & PSU.
Not to worry though, as Scan have updated the page to "item due today"! Fingers crossed!
Showing back in stock as at time of this post
Out of stock once more
yes it was only showing in stock for a day or so!
