It seems that I can no longer have free delivery with my Scan account, which I've previously had free delivery being a HEXUS member.

That and the promotion is for active Hexus forum members, which you seem to be reasonably consistently?
Hi Nick.
The free postage is for regular HEXUS members who contribute to the forums. With a PC of 0.09/day, it's not really meeting that. Also, all but 2 of your posts are in the Scan section asking questions to the Scan staff.
Have a browse around the forums and try to help some people / create some threads of interest here. It's not really fair to sign up and use our services without giving anything back.
Cheers
Working fine. No problems here. So must as said above.

You may have more than one account.
I have 2 the only difference is the password used - this detemines if the free delivery is active or not.
The item was over 20 pounds, 22 pounds infact, I assume its down to my posts then
Thanks all.
With or without vat?
Hes also clearly made just 25 posts to qualify for the free delivery, then never made a post again. Joined May 2008, made 25 posts in that time.
Pot, kettle, black?
Unless you haven't taken the Scan free shipping?
No I havent actually. I haven't ordered anything from Scan for a while, I did a big batch of upgrading (Q9450, 9800GX2, 22" monitor) and am perfectly happy with it. I just browse Scan and these forums regularly because I like to keep up to date with the latest prices and issues, and I post now and then. So I certainly do not exploit/abuse the free delivery system.
free delivery from scan?! where's the catch here then?....
No catch, just qualifications.
It's a joint agreement between Hexus and Scan. Hexus provides a forum for support issues to be dealt with, and Scan provides a benefit for active Hexus members. But it is supposed to be for active members and, ultimately, it's for Scan to determine who is and who isn't. We certainly work together to deal with the more obvious cases of taking advantage, but it's an offer to Hexus members, not a right to demand it.
As for NickNolan's case, I'm not aware of it being actively turned off, but then as the implementation is at Scan's end, I wouldn't necessarily be. There doesn't seen to be much in the way of active Hexus activity going on though, so even if that isn't why the account stopped working in the first place, it might cause Scan to reassess now.
And there's a message in that for everyone. Posting the required posts rapidly might work the first time, but unless activity is kept up, it might also lead to the offer being withdrawn later on. That, of course, is Scan's prerogative, and the suggestion to them might come from Hexus.
