(Gigabyte MA7GM-S2H) won't post. Motherboard standoffs?

    Hi

I recently bought bought a couple of motherboards cpu & cases but the cases didn't have a enough brass motherboard standoff screw thingies. I can't get my the motherboard (Gigabyte MA7GM-S2H) to post, it may be because I don't have enough brass standoff's could be causing a short circuit.

Can you send me out any in the post?

    Thanks

I doubt the problem is with the standoffs. Although not desirable you could run a system with 2-3 standoffs. Does it power up? If it powers up, have you tried resetting the CMOS (I always do this for new builds)?

Its ok got it working now would it still be cheeky to ask for brass stand offs though?

    Thanks

    KoolPC,
I'm in search of the brass motherboard (or memory) standoffs. I really need 'em badly. They are shorter than the original standoffs used on most motherboards, and the screw is thinner. Can you sell to me?

Please let me hear from you.

    Thanks,
    Richard

Considering hes banned and has not been on for 2 months i dout your in luck.

You should be able to get in touch with either your case maker or the motherboard supplier failing that.

Stand offs are not all the same size, so make sure you're getting the right ones.

I'd say check with the case manufacturer rather than the motherboard supplier.

People seem to think that we should have loads of stand-offs but the fact of the matter is these come supplied within cases and as such we do not tend to have any spares and as some people have already stated, different maunufacturers could use different sizes etc.

Do you need 3mm internal and external then? Getting a shorter body than normal might be tricky tho
It worries me, thinner thread and shorter body.. sounds like the screw socket from VGA cards!
What case is it for? Try to measure it for us.
