Faulty Corsair PSU?

Hi, bought a Corsair HX1000 psu last september and now it has started to get very hot when under load due to the fan no longer speeding up when under load.

Has anyone else had this problem and I don't have the psu box at the moment, can it still be returned to scan?

If its from Scan then the operate the 5 year warranty on the Corsair stuff iirc.

Well...... lol

ATM its still running my rig, but for how long.. if I try and do any gaming/folding (gpu) the psu casing must be getting to ~80C. Try and get scan to take it back on Tues.

Fingers crossed it doesn't burn out over the weekend.

If the fan is not working RMA it.

PSUs these days act as another hot air exhaust for the whole case.

You don't need the box's to return components, it just helps as it it what was designed to safely package the item in the first place, as long as you pack it sufficiently, it's fine :)

And yes, RMA it...
