    Upgrade

I am thinking about buying the following kit. I play generals online and do video editing.
Will this be an improvement on my current set up of
AMD Opteron 75. 3 GB ram NV 6600GT, Asus A8NSLI Deluxe?

Any recommendations for a tool free, quick release MOBO. Also I will be using an existing modular Tagab TG580 PSU, will it be enough?

    Re: Upgrade

    Yes!
Just check if Generals can use widescreen res? Some of the older games either stretch to fit or crop, either way can look weird.

If you have no intention of playing the newest games perhaps an HD4770 and Q8300 would suit you better for around similar total cost? More MHz would mean faster processing for your video editing and either GPU should max out Generals with plenty of room to spare.

Budget for some good case and CPU fans too, keep it all cool whilst encoding.
