Gigabyte MA790X-UD4 collected from store this morning

Hi

Firstly thanks Chris P for sorting out this mornings Q Collection for me, massive problem though, the boards faulty The USB ports wont work and the PS2 keyboard port is flaky in that at first it intermitantly worked, then all I could do was access the BIOS but not move up or down, then every time I pressed the left key it threw up all kinds of bios sub-menus and asked me if I wanted to quit without saving, now nothing at all. Ive tried 3 different keyboards in total and it just wont have any of it. I did manage to start installing Vista but when it came to reboot to complete the installation it threw up a Blue screen error "Bugcode_USB_Driver" It did this on 2 attempts at installation. I've tried resetting the CMOS, leaving the computer unplugged from the wall for at least 15 minutes and tried just using one stick of ram. There's nothing else I can think of to try.

Thing is today was my only day off for a while and I wont be able to get back to the store with it. My friend (who has a managed account with you) has offered to bring it back on Wednesday for me, would this be ok?

If your friend wants to bring it back on your behalf then thats fine, i have asked returns and they have no issue, however bare in mind that if you wanted a refund and paid cash they they wont be able to do it without you present.

If its a replacement or refund on "CARD" then no problems.

Thanks very much for replying Steve, a straight replacement is all I'm after thank you. Do I need to log an RMA on your website or is he ok to just bring it in and get it changed?

its up to you, but i would probably recommend you log the RMA first and then get your friend to bring it in.
