Lack of mid range (nVidia) graphics cards?

Hi,

I've been looking around at mid-range graphics cards, such as the GTX260 cards about £150 but I've come to the conclusion there's a bit of a gap in what's available.

Of the 8 GTX260 cards listed on the Scan site today, only 2 of them are in stock (and they aren't the fancy overclocked versions either).

I don't really want to go down in performance to the GTS250 (some under £100).

If I look upwards, there's nothing on sale till the GTX470 at nearly £300 !!!

So basically, there are only 2 cards currently available between the £100 and £300 price points. Does anyone else think that's quite a void?

Of the 6 GTX260 cards that are out of stock and awaiting an ETA (I'd rather have one of these overclocked cards than the default clock cards that are in-stock), is it worth waiting for them? Will they ever come in stock or are they discontinued or something? Should I order one or not?! How long might I have to wait? A week? A month?!

This is as much Nvidia's fault as anyone's, I'm thinking.
