I have an original eclipse . It's lasted me years! but the backlight is really dim now and some of the keys are looking a little worn. I'm half tempted to get myself one of these v7's too. Just need to have a look at some reviews first.

Just got mine, its impressive... Awesome for gaming, really nice to use as a regular keyboard too. Way better than my Logitech G15 v2 was. Ok the backlighting is a love or hate thing but u can turn it off, although I really like it... looks like a control panel from a Klingon Warbird I'm no reviewer but I had an Enermax Aurora, which was awesome to type on... A G15 that was good to game with.... The Cyborg is both. Take a chance on it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Ultramag... Question... how does the pass through audio work? It has leads that you plug into the 3.5mm jack plugs on the back plane and then you can plug stuff into the keyboard? Also, does the illumination show through the actual letters on each keycap or is it between the keys?

Yeah, It plugs right into your soundcards 3.5mm jacks so you just plug your headset or whatever in the keyboard, it's a nice thick cable too which also has a passthrough usb connection.

Its a bit of both, the light shows through the keycaps but also under the keys, heres a pic. Excuse the pic quality... I suck at taking photo's. Hope this is helpful to you, If you wan't any more pics of the lighting just say mate.

That was very helpful, UM, thank you muchly.

Now... given there's a household spending freeze in place... how to convince my wife my bog standard logitech keyboard has morphed into one of those mad looking mothas.

Re: Saitek Cyborg V.7 Gaming Keyboard

I've had mine for a few days now and totally love it. Massive improvement on my eclipse 2.

I read a few reviews saying the touch panel media controls and lighting buttons were hard to use but mine are fine.

The "metal" buttons are not that much different to the rest of the buttons which is quite good as I would have hated them to be small squares of cold metal, but you can defiantly tell the difference by touch from the other keys.

UM I was going to buy a g15 but after your comments I'm glad I chose this crazy looking mofo
and dude wtf is that under your monitor? right hand side

Pauleden just leave some scattered bits of plastic, a few old leds and throw some solder about and then declare your unbelievable modding tekkas and proclaim you made it

    What this thing?

It's a very cheap Usb hub I picked to replace my broken one. I knew it lit up with a device plugged in from the picture on Scan's site, but had no idea it was gonna look like a Xmas decoration.
