One hour delivery window? I'm impressed

On Saturday, I ordered a pile of bits from Scan to build my new PC , with delivery promised for today. I even got free delivery thanks to this forum :-)

And now I get an email from them saying :
Your order is due for delivery between 13:16-14:16 today

Why can't everybody do that? Assuming it turns up in that window (or even just outside it), I think this is fabulous service.

I can now do something else for the rest of the morning other than listen for the doorbell

Edit: Except I can't, as I had to order my display from Ebuyer and I don't know when that will be here today.
And my graphics card from Amazon and I don't even know which day that is due.

I haven't ordered from Scan for a very long time and my biggest bugbear was the awful hit and miss delivery. However, that seems to have been addressed and the one hour delivery slot is very impressive. A couple of other online retailers have also adopted this approach too. The whole email communciation chain is much better now.

Yeah I had a delivery scheduled between 13:28 and 14:28 and he turned up at 14:27

I got a email late last night saying my order would be here today but no one hour window as of yet. That comes in a later email iicr right? It does not really matter as like the OP I am expecting multiple deliveries today so it is a shut in job for me anyway.

yes, early morning. my email and text message came at 08.30. - suppose they have to load and schedule the vans first.

i got my delivery on monday and my email on tuesday telling me the time they were going to, and did, deliver on monday

but thats the ISP being crap

i can always rely on scan to deliver next day

I just got an email and text giving me a delivery slot and came here to say how wonderful that was. Yet another reason why I'll continue to use scan for everything I can. Well done chaps!

Well everything I was expecting has come except my SCAN gear, that has a window of 3pm-4pm this afternoon. So all in all I am a happy camper


EDIT- Well my order arrived @ 3.58pm so once more a big pat on the back for the SCAN Team and for DPD. Great job thank you.

Well this isn't because of Scan but DPD. But it is good that Scan picked DPD.
