P8P67 PRO problems + RAM question

    Hi all,

I am currently having constant booting problems with my new p8p67 pro mobo and the sandy bridge 2600 (NOT the K version), my pc will either boot up fine, then when i restart it it will load fine but the screen wont turn on (the power on the screen stays on standby), then other times it will restart and say overclock failed press F1 etc...

    I have this

    scan.co.uk/products/4gb-%282x2gb%29-corsair-xms3-classic-ddr3-pc3-12800-%281600%29-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-8-8-8-24-xmp-165v

i've set my mobo overclock profile to XMP so it loads the correct 8-8-8-24 timings and 1.65v, i set the memory to 1600mhz, yet i still have problems. I have also tried all of the different BIOS versions to no avail...

i've been reading around and have seen that sandy brdige doesnt seem to like RAM higher than 1.5v and im looking at getting new RAM and heres my question to SCAN: this RAM:

    scan.co.uk/products/4gb-%282x2gb%29-corsair-xms3-classic-ddr3-pc3-12800-%281600%29-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-150v

it says 1.5v but a friend has brought this and a sticker on the RAM itself does say its 1.65v, could anyone clarify which it is as im pretty sure my RAM is causing my booting issues and i need some new 1.5v ram to fix my issue

    Thanks,
    Lee

Re: P8P67 PRO problems + RAM question

The P8P67 Pro manual says to put the RAM in DIMM sockets A2 & B2 but I read somewhere that some people have been getting over this problem using DIMM sockets A1 & B1 ... if you haven't already tried it
