    Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

    Hi guys,

I wasn't able to ring to get the discounted delivery rate that we NI folk get instead of the free postage. Unfortunately work 9-6 with no outbound calls, so I had to place a web order.

Is there any chance I would be able to get the discounted rate applied to my order before it's fully processed?

I have opened a ticket for this too, but I can't access outside email either. Hexus and review sites are accessible for now though. Thanks.

Have you tried the free delivery link avforums and hexus forums allow when you reach a certain post limit?

Those in NI can't get the free postage due to the extra costs of shipping to NI.

    His post has explained this

    Re: Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

Apologies for the late reply, only in the door. Aye, I got a response to my ticket this morning. Send my thanks to Dawn, would you David?

Thanks for sorting that out for me guys/gal.

Unfortunately NI is the cash cow for couriers, we're lucky DPD post for £10 at normal rates. Citylink used to be £20 iirc, £15 with the discount.

David, Dawn also mentioned "Any future online orders the discount should apply online.". Which I take it, means I won't need to ring up to get the discounted quote as it'll be applied automatically online?

If it is, it isn't working (coming up at £10). Unless I've totally mis-understood this, then forgive me. (It's late in the night for me )

Also, will LN35345 CORSAIR XMS3 PC3-12800 2x4GB ever be coming off the "CALL" for price status? This not being able to phone during the week is really setting me back lol. It's only the XMS and the i5 2500k holding me back from completing my second order of those and an ASUS p8p67 Pro

    Thanks again

slyman i think your discount will work like ours with the free delivery with x amount of posts.

it will be applied to your order above £30-£50 something like that

also make sure you are actually logged in bud.

You're jumping to the wrong conclusion mate. I've had discounted delivery when it was citylink. That was just a question for David/Scan.

Unfortunately the discount isn't automatically applied. At the moment the only way to apply it is to place a telephone order, or to contact us immediately after placing an online order to amend it.

    Re: Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

Would just like to thank Scan for sorting out the delivery again for me.

Now all that's left is to get a response to my Returns for the products that arrived with it's package damaged. Hopefully everything goes as smooth as it has been so far.

    Re: Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

    Heard nothing back today unfortunately.

I opened the query as a Returns which I hope was the correct one. As I want a replacement EVGA GTX 570 SC and Returns sounded like the logical selection.

How long do these errors normally take to correct as the rest of my build is scheduled for delivery next week and I'd hate not to have a graphics card to test it with. It's really put a dampener on my new build hopefully it doesn't get any worse.

    Re: Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

Would it be possible to get an update to my Query left on Saturday morning please if there hasn't already been one:
    OLQ900198

If there already has been a response, I didn't get it unfortunately. Preferably to the email tied to my scan account as I am not at home to accept phone calls. Thanks

Although it might'nt matter on the speed of this now as the Intel i5 2500Ks are out of stock again and my order from Friday hasn't updated from payment processed. Was more concerned for having the both of them at the same time as one cannot be tested without the other .

    Re: Subsidized Northern Ireland Postage

I am struggling to decide whether to take this sucker punch and just keep the card because of the hassle of trying to get contact.

But every time I look at it, it makes me cringe for something as expensive as a EVGA GTX 570 SC to be shipped out like this.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And thats only one angle. It looks like something heavy has clipped it on the corner or has been sat on top of it. For god sake the force has the EVGA sticky seal near open(although in fairness it has a design like a sliced pizza). The cardboard around that area has gone all soft and has creases where the pressure was.

What I am seriously concerned about is that I reported this on Saturday morning, less than 24 hours after receiving it on Friday. Will I hear hear mention of "you didn't bring this to our attention within the 48hours of receipt"?

I've been chasing it since Saturday (even pm'd Chris P to no avail) and starting to worry that I am being shafted.
