    3770 Price gone up already?!

    Hey Scan,

I was quite keen to order a 3770 setup from yourselves but you've already put another £7 on the 3770. Why has it gone up, when presumably you are still on your first stock?

I realise prices change daily but it appears you are now adopting the tactics of other retailers which puts you in the same boat as them, the fact that you were different is what has kept my money coming your way for several years.

    Hi mike306dt

To confirm, which LN number are you referring to?

    Hey Chris

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel...ache-35x-ratio

That one. Its £249.99 at another online 'competitor'... not that I've ever used that company. Admittedly o.... have it at pretty much the same price as you (they didn't but they also bumped it up - though this seems to be usual tactics for them).

    Cheers

LN 42833 has increased as you confirm but this was only due to us selling this close to cost originally, which is not feasible. We are aware of an etailor selling this below cost, which we are looking into..

    Best Regards

I'll keep an eye on a bundle from the man who can!

Chris - I'd like your honest opinion please -

2600/2700k or the 3770k? I like overclocking and cannot make my mind up which one to go for due to the IvyBridge running so much hotter.

Thanks for taking the time to read this/reply

What are you going to use the System for and what software will you be running?

Re: 3770 Price gone up already?!

    Hey Chris

I play games (have 2x5850's currently) and do the odd bit of programming. What I'm keen to get into is a bit of video editing perhaps as my little man gets older and I'd certainly like to play around with my diving footage.

I like speed for free though and my current cooler ( http://www.scan.co.uk/products/therm...6-am2-am3-cpus ) keeps my cpu pretty chilly given its voltage and clock.

I know this cooler is capable of keeping a 2600k at 5ghz 1.4v around 70 but I have a feeling it will really struggle with an IB cpu.

    Thanks

    Mike
