From all the research I've done, the Sandforce controller issues with other manufacturers seem to have been ironed out trough firmware updates. The only terminal Sandforce issue I've seen is on the Intel 520, which due to hardware limitations on its controller has been found to be unable to do 256bit aes encryption (they are now offering a refund to anyone with this drive that uses the feature)
If you are looking at this Kingston drive, then I dare say you are a consumer not looking for such encryption. Personally, my experience of the Sandisk Extreme means I am quite happy trusting Sand force controllers...

Ordered this last week, looking forward to seeing how fast it is on Monday. Then again I already have an agility 2 so probably won't notice

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)

How are we supposed to actually order this on Scan at this "gone nuts" price.. when it only has the option to "Call for price"..... so you cannot ACTUALLY order it at this apparent £64.99 price....

When you go onto Scan website the whole back of their website is plastered with this amazing deal... but you cannot order it !!!

    Is it April 1st ?

All the SandForce SF-2281 Controller can't do AES-256 Encryption, it's just Intel discovered it first and offers a return program I assume other manufactures will as well. Agreed it is hardly important for most consumers.

The reduced quality NAND does reduce the amount of data that can effectively be written to the drive over it's life but I suspect again it is hardly important for most consumers. I can't find any firmware updates for the drive on the Kingston website just the toolbox software and so would like confirmation the current firmware solves the BSOD issues with the SandForce SF-2281 Controller.

Will these be coming back in-stock, I get paid next week so buying two to raid for the operating system isn't a bad idea, right?
