Is it possible to change temp sensing 3XS Meridian fans to normal ones?

Hi,
I have some automatic temerature sensing case fans. 3XS Meridian 80mm Transparent 4 LED Blue
They have a little thermal resistor to monitor the heat. They then change RPM depending on heat.

I want to put them through an LCD on GPO's to up the speed depending on temps etc
Is it possible to change temp sensing fans to normal ones?
Don't know too much about electronics. If I remove the resistor and solder the two connections will this do the trick?

You can just buy any old 80mm fan :) Are you looking for blue led ones with 3 pin connectors?
