Scan/DPD Delivery - Resolved

The last 3 orders from Scan have failed to be delivered on time, it's been a 2 day service rather than 1. I spoke to a girl on the support line the first time it happened and she said DPD can't deliver to Aberdeen in 1 day (not sure why as every other courier can!). On that occasion she refunded the full postage and said next time I order to expect a day delay. So I did for the next order and that was fine.

This time I ordered on Wednesday, specifically paying for Sat delivery as it's the only day with someone in, but just got off the phone with DPD and Scan and they can't deliver until Monday... I gave them enough time to organise the delivery, also the guy on the phone @ Scan didn't sound like he cared - only offered me the 1.50 (or whatever it is) difference in delivery costs. He didn't quite grasp the concept that I paid for Saturday as I needed it on Saturday and not Monday (which I wouldn't have got anyway since like most I work and can't be sitting at home on a weekday waiting for a package).

I would like to add that even though I've always checked your site every day for the offers and ordered many times (including a couple of full systems) I will be moving to another supplier as I can't be bothered with the failed promises of delivery.

I know I have problems in the north Aberdeenshire coast, but I would expect the city to be next day without question.

Can you not have items sent to work like i have been doing recently ?

FUNKSTAR: You would think the city would get 1 day but according to Scan aftersales they just can't do it...

APEX: I usually would but I've just started there and not figured out if reception are happy with personal deliveries, also I kind of wanted it for today so I could get the machine upgraded and rebuilt over the weekend when I had spare time (it was a mobo/cpu/ram upgrade so had freed up the weekend to work on my machine).

Understandable ^_^ - Lucky i have ccl 5mile away if i need anything same day - everything else is via scan and so far DPD havn't let me down

My local places are quite small, and the stock is overpriced - I think I would have been an extra 80 for similar kit locally so I usually have to go online.

Odd development on the undelivered package - both Scan and DPD said that it was still in Birmingham yet DPD just txt'd that it would be here by 14:32 today... and it's just appeared at my door half way through this message.

Apologies to Scan/DPD on the premature post but after being told by both of you that it was 450 miles away you can understand (hopefully) my frustration.
