Hi, i have a evga superclock cpu cooler but the fan that comes with it is extremely loud. the heatsink uses two metal clips each side to hold the fan in place. i was wondering if the Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm would be compatible with it?

Providing the mounting holes are in roughly the same position I see no reason why the fan clips supplied with the EVGA wouldn't work with the Noctua fan.
Without having either to hand to check though I cannot provide a 100% guarantee.

It might just be the case that you've not set up the cpu fan speed PWM setting in the motherboard BIOS to reduce the speed and noise.
And yes any standard 120mm fan should fit on that cooler, the fan that comes with it is from YateLoon I think.
It's got a fairly high full speed rpm so yes it will be loud unless the speed is brought right down with the PWM settings.
