    Canon MV700 - Connection

Hello, I am about to go and buy the Caon MV700 Camcorder, as I wish to recorder my up and comming wedding, and holiday, but then I look at the Specs of the camcorder, I see the the Conenction output is a DV, I have tryed to find soemwhere on the web, where I can read about this type of connection, and on how it wil like to my PC.

I have a GeforceMX 440 graphics card in my Machine and I am running Win XP Pro SP 2.

can someone please inform me on how I can connect my new camcorder to my PC.

    Many Thanks

could be wrong but i believe you will need a firewire port ,if your mobo doesnt already have an onboard firewire port you can pick up a firewire card for <£10

Thank you da ging, I have looked at the firewire cards, and I have found a company near me that are selling them for <£10, but when I look at the firewire cables, I see that there are so many,

but the look of it it looks like a USB connection with a smaller connection on the other side ' so can I use my USB cable ' or can I use a differant compnays cable like Song with I have send and looks like it has the right connections ?
