    Scan Free Delivery Issue

    Hey guys,

    This is an on-going issue from 2010 (Query 0882729 - {F63810A5-4A14-4165-9377-F65DD8C8519E}) and was just wondering if 4 years later someone might be able to get to the bottom of it as it's a bit of an inconvenience of every time I want to order something have to call up/e-mail, explain the situation, try the same basic troubleshooting, faf faf faf, place order with free delivery

    Basically I go through the motions of adding my account for free delivery, it says my account is already registered for free delivery but it doesn't remove delivery from my orders.

    Hi, I had the same Issue with adding account and discount not being applied at first but it's working fine now, just have to make sure order is at least £25 inc VAT.

    It's not that simple I'm afraid. As I said this is 4+ year old problem, been looked at (and even tried with all my details) by previous staff members and yesterday confirmed not working when ordering £300 worth of stuff and then having to contact customer service to get delivery removed.

    I was just wondering that as a long time has passed maybe someone has gotten to the bottom of whats wrong and could sort it out with my account.

    Okay, i've gotten to the bottom of this for you.

    You have an old account from 2005 (has a ac.uk email address) that was associated with free delivery. I believe in 2010 when you were trying to associate it with a new account and it wouldn't let you. You can only have your hexus account tied to one scan account, to stop people giving free carriage to friends. In 2010 whoever dealt with your query erroneously removed free carriage from your account, but that system is essentially for blocking people who have abused free carriage.

    So you've been blocked, and that's why it won't let you do it, it's saying that you've activated it once before, so can't again.

    I've updated your account now, so if you try it again it should work. If it doesn't just post back here and we will get this sorted for you.
