    Scansure

I'm about to purchase a cpu/motherboard combo but I only want Scansure for the mobo. Is this possible?

    Re: Scansure

Both components are over the minimum order value to qualify for free delivery, so you could order each component individually and only put Scansure on the mobo when you order it.

If I order individually then there will be no combo deal discount? I don't need free delivery because I use Q-collect.

    Re: Scansure

    Hi,

As this is a bundle Scansure would cover both and cannot be selected only for the motherboard.

    Regards

Why would I need Scansure for the CPU? What could possibly go wrong? There are no pins to damage!

Whay can't I just Scansure the motherboard at its original value?

    Re: Scansure

Because you are buying a single product (the bundle) with two components (CPU and motherboard)

And iirc, scansure generally applies on a per order basis, not a per component basis, although I couldn't find that in the T&Cs)

(My interpretation of course, I am not a SCAN employee or have any connection with SCAN other than as a customer)

    Re: Scansure

As above as the bundle is classed as a single product scansure is applied for both.

If you only want to insure the board my advice would be to order separately.

Fair enough. Forgetting combo deals, why do you have to scansure the whole basket and not able to select individual items? This time they're not classed as a single product.

    Re: Scansure

I believe this was a decision made by the underwriter of the insurance company that is used for Scansure.
