    Skylake bundles?

    Are you planning to do any Skylake CPU, motherboard, RAM bundles in the next couple of weeks?

    Also how reliable is the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero due date of 16th?

    Thanks

    Professor Frink.

    We have a page now live for skylake OC bundles and this can be seen using the following link ;

    http://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/configurat...1151-pc-bundle

    As for the date that's shown, providing the suppliers receive their stock allocations on time, we should get them on the 18th.

    Best Regards,

    Best Regards,
    I didn't know you did something like that, I was just looking in a Today Only section listing. I would have been really tempted if I didn't already have a cooler I was going to use from my old PC.
    Thanks for the reply.

    Aside from the locked-in cooler option, this bundle looks pretty incredible.

    "Locked in" cooler option? I see a choice of 7 possible coolers..

    If you need another cooler or even the bundle doing without a CPU cooler as you already have one or plan to use watercooling, then we can generate customised quotations based on your requirements.

    All you need to do is contact the sales team on one of the many ways of communication we have via the website or even via the phone

    6700k too overpriced on Scan or else might be tempted, can get parts seperate and pull together similar bundle for like £100 less in total and with 16gb ddr4 not 8 by shopping around.

    Always going to be the case with bundles or full systems. When you buy them you're paying for the convenience as well as time for someone to build the bundle/pc, and in Scan's case they do a bit of testing too from what I've read on their site.

    It will always work out cheaper for those that know how to build properly to buy their own parts and build, but some prefer the convenience or lack the knowledge and so take the prebuilt route.

    That's a fair point and I can't disagree with that and I do like to build my own system and overclock it. However the 6700k as a single product is still too expensive on scan, as of today I have seen it the cheapest for £280 to order and loads of places at £290-300. Now I like Scan and would use them for my entire build or even go for the bundle (minus the cooler) but will prob have to get processor elsewhere unless they drop it some. I was gonna go for a 6600k but if I can get the i7 for just £80-90 more I would rather have the extra threads which is why I think they are missing a trick by pricing it on the top end.
