    Getting Fractal Parts

I am trying to get a Fractal part. They do sell it in Germany but its £20 postage to get to UK for a small part. I bought a new case from Scan last week and have been a long time Scan shopper since 1990 now!

    http://www.fractal-design-shop.de/index.php?a=516

Is it possible for Scan to order this in for me (don't mind paying in advance) with your next large order? I'll be buying more stuff from Scan anyway so this could go on that order and save me some major postage hassles. Fractal have yet to respond to queries on where I can get this in UK and Enta are the overall UK distro but never speak to real life human beings!

    Help@Scan please!

If Scan can't help you I might be able to put you in touch with someone at Enta - PM me if you need a hand.

I have a spare "middle" hdd cage from an Arc Mini R2 somewhere. No idea if it will fit/can be made to fit, but you are welcome to have it.

    So, here it is...

The way it mounts to the case/other drive cage is different to the R5's drive cage. You will almost certainly have to modify it.

If you do want it, send me a PM with your address and I will get it posted out.

Thanks, well if those 4 blobs are where screws might attach and are align with 120mm or 140mm fan holes then it will fit with no hassle.

SCAN have failed to respond in any way

    Re: Getting Fractal Parts

Sorry I've missed this, we're spread a bit thin at the moment.

Bottom line is - we buy from our UK distie - not from FD. We'd have to charge a similar amount to what they have quoted you if we bought direct, as they're shipping just a single item and we'd have to pass on the charge. And make a bit too for our time.. Our supplier doesn't carry this item as it's infrequently requested so, regretfully, I'd say it's swifter to purchase direct from FD.

The screw holes are 60mm apart and located both on the top and bottom of the drive cage.

Try e-mailing Fractal directly and see what they can do. I e-mailed them a while ago to source a replacement side panel for my case as mine was scratched / damaged, I got a reply asking for my address details, next thing I know I had a replacement side panel, free of charge...

Yeah I've always found Fractal's support really helpful. Similar to Disturbedguy, I had a part on my Fractal case broken in delivery - they replaced it for me no problem at all.
