NR200P Delays

Hi, not sure if this can be answered here or not I ordered the NR200P on the 11/12/2020, it was meant to come out to me on the 14th, but got delayed 5th Jan, it then got delayed to the 8th and now its been delayed a 3rd time till the 29th.

Is there a good way to find out what is going on? is this covid related, brexit related or some other issue?

7 weeks to wait is a bit crazy for something that was in stock when the order was placed.

It's probably a combination of Brexit and Covid, if it was listed as due for release on the 14th then the delivery just hasn't happened. Was the same for me on a different item, the expected stock date was missed and a new estimate was given - not much Scan can do about that. Your options are wait, order something else (that's what I did) or look elsewhere for stock, but every other retailer is likely to be in the same situation. Especially for that case, seems to be OOS everywhere.

Kind of why im asking so i can make an informed decision on what to do. I would like to wait for the NR200P but if its going to be several months to wait then I will need to look for something else. But its impossible to make that decision with minimal information.
They've provided a date three times which builds expectation, would also imply that they have some sort of information from CM (or whoever the distributer is) that stock is on the way. Unless Scan are just plucking dates out of the air and hoping for the best

I ordered mine in November. It was put back, and put back, and put back.

No response AT ALL from Scan, despite several requests for information. I finally gave up and got a refund.

They have no idea when they're getting stock but, rather than list it as out of stock, they keep making fictitious in-stock dates to keep people placing their orders and handing over money. Pretty shoddy behaviour.

I had exactly the same with a 3300x I ordered back in August. Cancelled after the 3rd expected delivery date shift

I got a reply from Scan, so they seem quick with the communication (only took them a day).

They said The updates that we provide are direct from our suppliers, these are only estimates and can sadly change, especially in the current climate. which i understand but its frustrating.

I'm gonna give it till the end of the month then see what about.

I got fed up waiting for Scan and ordered one (Open Box) from America - four thousand miles away - and the total cost was £4 less than what Scan are charging. It arrived three weeks ago.
