[SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
Dear all.
Please be advised that we cannot just add your hexus free delivery due to the unique token system that is in place which generates them once you pass the 20 posts threshold.
If you have a post count UNDER 20 posts - then we cannot activate your free delivery. No amount of emailing scan directly will rectify this - you simply need to have 20 CONSTRUCTIVE posts and to associate your accounts once the systems have synched up.
Best Regards,
Re: [SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
I would add that the HEXUS mods can and do delete posts that are not constructive. Two word posts such as "I agree" fall into that category. In extreme cases we will reset post counts and/or exclude the poster on the grounds of spamming.
We want HEXUS to be a pleasant experience for all users, and joining in fully is more likely to give you that.

I was just wondering, when you mention about constructive posts are these approved as we post new replies etc.?

Not really, if a member of the forum see's a post of yours that they think isn't constructive / adding to the conversation or looks more like spam, they will report it then a mod / admin (not sure which) will review it and decide. (I think thats how it works)

One or two word answers to "what is your favourite...? type of post is not considered constructive, and new members who post answers like that in a very short time scale will attract moderator/admin attention. Constructive posts usually address a re ent technical problem and may add to the thread, and/ or give a reasoned reply or contribution to a debate.

Probably this.
I've just had a very quick look and couldn't see any WiFi Cards that start at that price (could have missed it)

There is a minimum order value of £20 EXCLUDING VAT
Re: [SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
If it's 23.99 incl standard rate VAT, then the ex-VAT price will be 19.99, i.e. 1p short. Which seems harsh, but the a line has to be drawn somewhere.
My advice - buy something else which is less than the 4.57 delivery charge and it should then (if you qualify) trigger free delivery, meanng you still get to save money, and have the "something" as well.
Personally, I still think thus is a good deal and the £20 limit is pretty low and hasn't changed in years. It'll still cost Scan to deliver a 19.99 purchase, and that cost must eat into any profit on that. I think we do well to still get it at £20. Good on you, Scan.

I agree.
<sry couldn't resist - I do agree though>
Re: [SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
Yes - it sounds likely it was below the threshold.
Very good suggestion Saracen.
Re: [SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
I am getting this message when I try to link my Nexus account with Scan
Your HEXUS account is not found - please check your details and try again.
Any idea why this might be please?
Edit - is now working, Nexus is not counting all of my posts for some reason but I just made a purchase with free shipping :)

Resurrecting old threads purely for the purpose of boosting your post count does not constitute ‘useful contribution’ and your post count may be adjusted accordingly.
Re: [SCAN2HEXUS] Free Delivery Information
Also its Hexus not Nexus :whip:

I thought I was just posting because I had something to add and people have posted back so not sure what I did wrong tbh. What would you count as useful contribution?
